PROJECTS

ACTIVATE & INTERACTIVE

From immersive installations that transport you to another world, to digital exhibits that bring history to life and blur the lines between reality and fantasy. We’re all about crafting unforgettable experiences that leave a lasting impression with any audience.

OUR INTERACTIVE JOURNEY

Our story starts with teaming up with Brisbane Marketing to create a magical AR Portal that allowed intrepid adventurers from Sydney and Melbourne to step into sunny Queensland. Using a cutting-edge mix of interactive 360 videos and augmented reality, our purpose-built app allowed our friends from the south to experience the wonders of the place we call home with a simple tap of the screen.

A VERY CUTE DIRECTION

Fortunate for us, the legends at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary thought our work was pretty cool. This lead to the creation of a wonderful experience called Footprints. We went on to produce a 22-meter education wall and several digital experiences for them. AR Adventures for City of Ipswich’s new Springfield Library would soon follow. Another ambitious project where users of any age could create realtime VFX videos with themselves as the star and then send the content to themselves!

AND HERE WE ARE

A decade on, and thousands of interactions under our belts. Currently we are bringing to life our most ambitious project yet which will involve several interactive stations at this years EKKA 2023. Come say hi!

Interactive Experience FAQs

An interactive experience is a form of engagement that allows users to actively participate and control their experience. We create unique and memorable interactive experiences for educational, promotional, or entertainment purposes, using technology to create a virtual or augmented environment that responds to the user’s actions or inputs. Interactive experiences can take many forms, such as games, simulations, installations, or live events. It’s a fantastic way to engage with clients’ brands and products and leave a lasting impression.

Virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and interactive experiences have become buzzwords in the entertainment industry. However, many people are still confused about the differences between these three technologies. As a leading interactive experience production company, we aim to provide clarity on these concepts.

Virtual reality (VR) is a fully immersive experience that transports the user to a digital world. The user wears a VR headset that covers their entire field of view, blocking out the real world entirely. VR is often used in gaming and simulators, creating a realistic experience that allows users to interact with the environment.

Augmented reality (AR), on the other hand, enhances the real world by overlaying digital information onto it. AR technology uses cameras and sensors to detect and track real-world objects, allowing digital elements to be placed in the real world. This technology is often used in mobile applications, such as Snapchat filters and Pokemon Go, which allow users to interact with digital objects in the real world.

Interactive experiences are a form of entertainment or engagement that allows users to actively participate and control their experience. It often involves the use of technology to create a virtual or augmented environment that responds to the user’s actions or inputs. Interactive experiences can take many forms, such as games, installations, or live events, and can be used for educational, promotional, or entertainment purposes.

As technology continues to advance, interactive experiences have become increasingly popular, providing users with unique and engaging ways to interact with the world around them. From virtual reality to augmented reality, interactive experiences have taken many forms, providing entertainment, education, and promotional opportunities for businesses and individuals alike. In this article, we will take a look at some of the most famous interactive experiences that have captivated audiences around the world.

One of the most famous interactive experiences is the ‘Rain Room’ installation, which has been exhibited in various cities around the world. The installation is an immersive environment that simulates rain falling from the ceiling, creating a surreal experience for visitors. Using sensors and advanced technology, the installation tracks the movements of visitors and stops the rain from falling on them, allowing them to navigate the space without getting wet.

Another notable interactive experience is ‘Meow Wolf’, an art collective that creates immersive installations featuring interactive elements and hidden passageways. The installations are designed to create a sense of wonder and exploration, encouraging visitors to explore and interact with the space in unexpected ways.

In the gaming industry, ‘Minecraft’ has become a cultural phenomenon, providing players with a virtual world that they can explore and manipulate in countless ways. The game’s open-world environment allows for endless possibilities, and players can interact with each other and create their own stories within the game.

In the field of education, ‘The Immersive Experience’ provides students with an interactive, virtual reality journey through history, allowing them to explore historical events and locations in a new and engaging way. By combining cutting-edge technology with immersive storytelling, the experience provides a unique and memorable educational experience for students.

These are just a few examples of the many famous interactive experiences that have captured the imaginations of audiences around the world. As technology continues to advance, the possibilities for interactive experiences are endless, providing businesses and individuals with new and exciting ways to engage with their audiences. For those interested in creating their own interactive experiences, companies like Activate Studios offer a range of services, from design and production to installation and maintenance, helping bring these experiences to life.
