Commissioned by the Queensland Government, in partnership with YouTube Kids under the ‘Advance Queensland’ program, Activate Studios was awarded the tender to create, coordinate and deliver the ‘Create Queensland Regional Roadshow’ to 62 remote and regional schools across Queensland via a 5 month emerging technology roadshow.

Activate Studios designed and executed 73 full days of curriculum-linked activities using the latest emerging technology for 62 regional QLD schools, the QLD Parliament, the Ekka, West Tech Field Day, Baringa State School, and the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Activate Studios sourced, tested, and managing all equipment whilst creating, managing and executing all logistics to government regulations to a large budget through a recruited educational team.

The The first-of-its-kind regional roadshow aimed to prepare young people for their tech-driven futures and focused on content creation and consumption using emerging technology. Geordie and Laura drove and maintained the roadshow bus for 5 months on a road-trip of their lives and we will never forget it, or them!
