Project Overview:

Activate Studios developed MedAugment, an AR health app for QUT Health designed to enhance health literacy and help patients better understand their medication.

Our Solution:

MedAugment allows users to scan their medication packaging with AR to access videos and animations about usage and side effects, as well as podcasts featuring other patients’ experiences. The app’s development and UI/UX design focused on user accessibility.

Key Features Included:

• AR scanning of medication packaging.
• Informative videos and animations on medication use and side effects.
• Podcasts featuring patient experiences.
• Developed as a proof-of-concept for research, currently in testing and evaluation.
• Approved by QUT Human Research Ethics Committee for real-world evaluation.
